    1. Hi Gavin,

      i am planning to do below activities on my prod.

      1. Upgrade 10 2 0 4 to 10 2 0 5 (same linux 64 bit OS) with 0 downtime.

      2. application will be pointed to upgraded 10 20 5 db. then due to some issue. planning to rollback to 10 2 0 4 version.

      let me know if you have any material for this setup


    2. Hi Raji – not sure what you mean … do you want to test how to downgrade the database from to in case you encounter some issue?

      Also – how are you doing the upgrade from to without any downtime?

      I had a doubt about the GoldenGate setup. We have seen that GG works at table/column level mapping too. Thanks for your posts. I would like to know, if the mapping can be done at schema level.
      I know we can create groups but this is still all tables.

      Please guide me.


    4. Hi Ramesh – you can use wildcards to include all the tables in a schema – for example we can say TABLES=SCOTT.* – regards,

    5. I have this error in AIX 64 bit 6.1 oracle It does not happend with, is the problem?

      0509-150 Dependent module libclntsh.a(shr.o) could not be loaded.

      0509-026 System error: A file or directory in the path name does not exist.

    6. Hi Jose – can you check what the $LIBPATH is pointing to. It should be $ORACLE_HOME/lib:

      Also try and run ggsci like ./ggsci to make sure you picking the right executable in case you have multiple installations.

      Let me know if this works.

      i am trying to start my extract but i am getting below ,please let me know if any one has come across this kind of error

      Wonderful Tutorial.
      I have two questions:
      1. Before starting Initial Load do I have to create all the table structure at the Target side?
      2. I have heard that Initial Load on big Database takes long time, then is there any alternative for initial Load.
