This note describes the various steps taken to install and configure Database Firewall (AVDF) version 20.4 on VirtualBox.
This follows Part 1 where we have installed Audit Vault release 20.4.
Install Database Firewall 20.4
- Create a VirtualBox Linux VM with a VDI file of at least 225 GB
- Attach the ISO so that the VM boots up using the ISO
- Ensure boot order for the VM has Optical right at the top and only one selected
- Power off the VM
- Change the Boot Order to replace Optical with Hard Disk at the top of the order
- Start the VM
Register Database Firewall with Audit Vault
Copy the certificate from Audit Vault server to Database Firewall server – create a file ca.crt and scp to Database Firewall server as the support OS user

Connect as root user on Database Firewall server and execute the config-avs script providing the IP address of the Audit Vault server and the location of the certificate file copied from the Audit Vault server
Click on Register
Enter the IP address of the Database Firewall server
