Installing Oracle Database 26ai on Linux

This note illustrates the installation of Oracle Database 26ai on an Oracle Linux 8.10 VirtualBox hosted environment.

Download patch 38743961 which is the Database RU 23.26.1 Gold Image patch.

Create the directory structure to host the Oracle 26ai database software home and unzip the

p38743961_230000_Linux-x86-64.zip file in this location.

[oracle@perth ]$ mkdir /u01/app/oracle/product/23.26.1/dbhome_1

[oracle@perth ]$ unzip p38743961_230000_Linux-x86-64.zip

Execute runInstaller to launch the Oracle 28ai database installer.
